Major Duties: - Teaching graduate counselor education courses, primarily at Regional Location in Traverse City, MI.- Duties also include supervising practica.- Supervising internships.- Advising master's students.- Networking with community groups and student recruitment in the Traverse City community.
Minimum Qualifications: - Earned doctorate in counselor education by start date with a background in clinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple & family counseling; or school counseling.- Applicants must be graduates of a CACREP accredited doctoral program.- Applicants with demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and advising in the area of counselor education, and experience integrating technology into teaching, online and distance learning or other emerging information technologies are desired.- Candidates should have sufficient interest and/or experience teaching graduate courses in counselor education including foundational counselor education courses, and experience teaching in a counselor education specialty, e.g. clinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple and family counseling; or school counseling.- Must be eligible to serve as a graduate advisor for the counselor education programs.
