Michigan State University College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program Director. This is an annual year, fixed term faculty position.
The program director is a member of the full time faculty in the College of Nursing and is responsible for providing leadership regarding the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the BSN-DNP curriculum for the Psychiatric Mental Health nurse practitioner concentration. The program director works closely with College administration including the Office of Student Affairs to achieve this mission. The program director works with the clinical support coordinator to assist in identifying and developing clinical placement sites. Student advisement and recruitment is expected.
Doctorate - in Nursing or related field
DNP or PhD in nursing or related field; National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (or eligible); Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible); Comprehensive knowledge and experience in specialty area; and previous teaching experience.
Baccalaureate and higher education teaching experience and previous administrative experience is desired.
