The Neuroendocrinology and Circadian Rhythms Lab at MSU is recruiting motivated and skilled postdoc (Research Associate) interested in the neuroendocrine control of reproduction.
Research in the Hoffmann lab (https://www.canr.msu.edu/hoffmann/research/) is focused on understanding the molecular pathways and brain circuits regulating fertility and circadian rhythms. Using transgenic mouse models and in vitro cell culture, we are unraveling how impaired suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) function affects hormone release, behavior, and reproductive competence. The long-term goal is to identify novel drug targets for the treatment of infertility and disordered circadian rhythms.
The lab uses a wide range of transgenic mouse models, behavioral studies, hormone analysis, fresh tissue recordings, cell culture, histology, IHC, as well as molecular and genomic analysis tools.
