Michigan State University College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Instructor/Assistant Professor. This is an academic year, fixed term faculty position.
The position’s primary responsibility in the College of Nursing is teaching in classroom, clinical and/or distance education. Teaching assignments may include BSN, MSN, and DNP programs, depending on individual qualifications. Classes and clinical assignments are in East Lansing and a variety of mid- and South Michigan locations. Distance education strategies are also employed. Individuals in all clinical specialties are encouraged to apply.
Doctorate -in Nursing or related field
DNP or PhD in nursing or related field is required for the rank of Assistant Professor and is preferred for the rank of Instructor. Master’s degree in Nursing is required; Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible); Comprehensive knowledge and experience in specialty area; Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience and previous teaching experience is required.
Baccalaureate and higher education teaching experience is desired.
