Essential Functions: Teach Social Studies Content courses to (PreK-8) Teacher Candidates according to the Michigan Department of Education Standards and NCSS
Align curriculum with objectives of the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification in preparation for the Elementary Education and/or Social Studies State Exam
Cover Elementary Economics, Government, American History, World History and Civics
Classes meet weekly either during the day or early evening. Online, face to face and hybrid are available options
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Education, any of the Social Studies Interdisciplinary subjects and/or related field
At least 3 years of current teaching experience in related field.
