Major Duties: - Western Michigan University invites applications and nominations for the position of Faculty Specialist I or II - Clinical Specialist in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. The position will primarily be assigned to the Audiology Clinic at the WMU Unified Clinics. This is a tenure-track, full-time, fiscal-year position, with an expected start date of January 1, 2019, or as soon thereafter as selected finalist is available.- Diagnostic evaluations for infants, children and adults.- Hearing aid assessment and fittings.- Hearing intervention services (auditory rehabilitation) to children, adults and families.- Management of the WMU hearing conservation program.- Clinical supervision of audiology students.- Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.- Service to audiology program, the Department, the University, the profession, and the community. - Contributing to an interprofessional environment of research, instruction, and community collaborations.
Minimum Qualifications: -Audiology doctorate or a master's degree in audiology, with the ability to show significant progress toward completion of the audiology doctorate.- Michigan Audiology License or eligibility.- Prior experience with clinical service delivery and student mentoring.
