Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Our team is seeking a hardworking, detail oriented individual who has previous experience with various imaging modalities including NIR and SWIR, scientific device design, clinical trials, and data management. The individual will work with the principal investigators to review progress and evaluate results. This team member will also act as a project manager interfacing with patients, surgeons and laboratory personnel. This position will also consult with the principal investigators to refine or adapt methodologies to fit research requirements; collaborates in analysis of techniques and instruments. Finally, the position will offer opportunities to co-author publications, and co-present with Principal Investigator at meetings and conferences.
Responsible for operation of the research efforts of the University of Michigan SWAT study to improve assessment of burn wounds.
Assist study team with aspects of large, complex research project including: camera imaging, digital analysis, short wave IR analysis, camera device design, clinical patient enrollment.
Coordinates development of research goals and project design and procedure.
Provides technical assistance and supervision in equipment, design, construction, modification and maintenance.
Co-author research publications, and co-present with Principal Investigator at meetings and conferences.
Bachelor’s degree with 5-6 years of related experience.
Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
This position is a one year term limited appointment with the potential extension, based on grant funding and performance. At the end of the state term, the appointment may terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits.
