Essential Functions: Serve as the Director of the Physician Assistant Studies Program and will also hold a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical) or Associate Professor (Clinical). Teach in the Physician Assistant Studies Program.Provide academic advisement to studentsSupervise part-time and full-time represented facultyWork closely with the department/division administration and other program directors in the Department of Health Care SciencesConduct research and pursue scholarly activities as administrative and teaching demands allow.Represent the program at local and national professional meetings.Serve on program/department/division/college/university committees as appropriate.
Qualifications: Must have current NCCPA certification and Master's degree required or board certification required for MD and DO candidates. Must have previous clinical practice experience with a preference of at least five yearsThree or more years of faculty experience in an academic faculty position or equivalent. Must have eligibility for PA, MD or DO licensure in MichiganMust have experience with ARC-PA accreditationMust have a record of participation in research/scholarship at the university level.Track record of successful leadership and management experience in a professional capacity.Foster respect and a team spirit demonstrating our values.
