Major Duties: Primary responsibilities will include:- Excellence in teaching.- Establishing a nationally-recognized research program that involves graduate and undergraduate students.- Actively seeking external funding to support research and scholarly activities.- Conducting and publishing scholarly research in peer-reviewed journals.- Student advising.- Service to the department, college, and university.- Required work load is up to 24 credit hours per academic year. - The position will require lab and lecture instruction in the area(s) of Medicinal, Organic, Analytical, Environmental and / or Biochemistry. - Scholarly activities will include research in their area of expertise as well as through interdisciplinary collaborations. - A commitment to diversity and student success is expected.
Minimum Qualifications: - PhD in Chemistry or Equivalent degree from an accredited university.
