Essential Functions: Provide research assistance on various funded research projects and oversee the Core Laboratory functions and staff. Responsibilities include oversight, monitoring and support as the clinical liaison to multiple research projects, IRB regulatory preparations and reporting, project tracking and participant recruitment. Work closely with project directors, study participants, research scientists and principle investigators. Responsible for the daily operations of the Behavioral and Field Research Core including, but not limited to: participating in the goal-setting process for Core research services; prioritizing and assigning work to personnel; and identification, development, recommendations and implementation of policies and procedures for optimal laboratory operations.
Qualifications: Masters degree in social science, evaluation or other research oriented discipline, Nursing experience preferred.Must have 5-10 years of previous research experience, preferably in social science or healthcare and knowledge of IRB processes, submissions, amendments and continuations.Must have research methodology and statistics and strong computer skills in Microsoft applications and SPSS. Must have critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to establish and maintain positive relationships with Institute principal investigators, staff, and study participants.
