Major Duties: General summary: Designs and coordinates production of printed and online promotional materials for the department.- Produces designs for printed promotional materials that implement the University's design standards for the department and all unique areas of the department including academic programs, professional development, lifelong learning and other focus areas as determined.- Serves as division's representative on design issues providing art elements that meet visual identity guidelines.- Serves on division's website development and management team.- Coordinates client meetings to prepare proofs, confirm deadlines and discuss budgets. Ensures that project deadlines and budgets are met by guiding the client through the process.- Manages and coordinates production of finished designs with vendors. Writes specifications to obtain bids, prepare mock-ups, verify proofs and attend press checks.- Plans and art-directs photo shoots for the EUP divisions stock photography database in collaboration with Marketing and Strategic Communications. - May maintain database for tracking project status, billings, documenting project specifications and other data.- May mentor student interns through assigned design projects.- May supervise student employees.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.- Three years' relevant experience.- Experience with relevant computer systems and design software.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from conceptualization through completion.- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
