Reporting to the Associate Dean of Admissions & Student Life, the Director of Admissions is responsible for the administration associated with D.O. recruitment, admissions, and yield in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. In this role, the director will ensure the activities associated with admissions are of the highest quality and align with the vision of MSUCOM and the Associate Dean of Admissions & Student Life.
The director is responsible for promoting a healthy, inclusive and positive work environment, focusing on productivity, innovation, and team and individual performance.
Priorities include overseeing:
Admissions staff members
Admissions system(s) management
MMI interview process
Counseling/advising prospective applicants
Admissions Committee process
Recruitment (excludes Pre-College) of a diverse and qualified applicant pool
Admissions website, webinars, and other technological tools
Graduate degree in education, business, counseling or a related field. Enthusiasm for the osteopathic profession. 3-5 admissions/recruitment related experience. High level of intrinsic motivation, self-directedness, and appreciation for working with diverse populations. Ability to create a positive culture in a fast-paced work environment.
The individual must have the ability to lift and carry boxes of recruitment materials weighing less than 25 pounds and set up and break down modular displays. Must have a valid driver's license, as travel is required.
