Responsible for assisting in the administration of a sound sports medicine program. Practice athletic training competently including but not limited to injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care of and rehabilitation/reconditioning of student athletes suffering from illness or injury. Keep accurate records of all treatments of athletic injuries; maintain an organized and functional athletic training room.
Bachelor’s degree required. Current National Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification (NATABOC) and CPR/AED certifications and eligibility for Michigan state licensure required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Valid vehicle operator's license and a driving record acceptable for coverage by the university's insurance carrier.
A minimum of 2 year's professional experience. Post graduate Athletic Training experience at the NCAA/NAIA level – highly preferred.Master’s Degree in related field. Knowledge of EMR software.
