Essential Functions: The College of Education at Wayne State University invites applications for a Lecturer in Educational Technology. To begin in Spring/Summer or Fall 2019, the successful candidate will join the Division of Teacher Education that attracts faculty, staff, and students committed to urban education and social justice. This is a 50% part-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position.Essential Functions:Teach and develop educational technology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Design and deliver portable credentials as evidence of learner's proficiency related to educational technology.Work directly with student cohorts to effectively incorporate educational technology tools in their practice.Collaborate with faculty on course redesign to engage and enhance student learning.Offer in-service workshops on educational technology for PK-12 educators.The successful candidate will contribute to a strong tradition of preparing teachers and education professionals and researchers at Wayne State University. This position will provide support through collaboration with Teacher Education faculty to enhance teaching and learning objectives with appropriate technology. It will include one-on-one consulting, designing and hosting workshops, and establishing positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and students to participate in a continuous dialogue around increasing the integration of technological tools and resources in Teacher Education.Located in the cultural center of Detroit midtown, Wayne State University (WSU) is within walking distance of major museums, theaters, and music venues. Qualifications: Minimum of Master's degree in Instructional Technology, in Educational Technology, in Curriculum & Instruction or Teacher Education with a focus on educational technology, or in a related field.Minimum of three years of professional experience in the design and development of technology-based instructional methodologies and materials.Experience in distance education and web-based learning.
