This is an administrative position with (non-tenure track) faculty rank within the Social Work department. The Field Specialist works with the Chair to support the activities of the department including field education support and adjunct faculty support. This individual reports directly to the Department Chair and works closely with the Field Director and other Social Work faculty to ensure compliance with SAU policies and procedures and adherence to Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) standards of accreditation.

Must possess good communication skills including writing and presentation skills.
Must possess knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Knowledge and experience with learning management software such as Blackboard is preferred.
Experience with the effective mentoring of faculty and students is also preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program plus two years of post-MSW experience is required.
Successful college teaching experience in traditional campus environments and nontraditional modalities is preferred.
