Responsibilities will include conducting research experiments, analyzing data, making presentations, and writing manuscripts. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to work collaboratively with members of the Lowry Lab at Michigan State University, including undergraduate and graduate students and technicians, to carry out this research.
Starting salary will be $48,500. The position is a one-year initial appointment with potential extension up to three years. Desired start date is May 2019.
PhD in a field related to Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Evolution, Plant Biology, and/or Plant Pathology at the time of hire.
Expertise in Plant Pathology, Cold Tolerance in Plants, Genome Assembly, and/or Population Genetics. General interest and understanding of evolution, genetics, and plant biology. Experience working in the field or laboratory with plants.
