The Kirkhof College of Nursing at Grand Valley State University is seeking to fill a tenure-line faculty position to contribute to the research and education mission of the college. Responsibilities of the faculty include:
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the campus and online learning environment for an exceptional student experience.
Provide professional education through student-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of clients and society.
Participate in curriculum and course development, and on university and college committees

The KCON has over 1,500 students enrolled in their CCNE accredited BSN, MSN and DNP degree programs.

Earned PhD in nursing or related discipline; if the earned doctorate is not in nursing, the master’s degree must be in nursing. If the doctorate was earned via a BSN to doctorate, the doctorate must be in nursing (PhD), and the requirement for a master’s degree is waived.
Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program and higher degree program in nursing
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Commitment to scholarship
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in multicultural settings and a demonstrated commitment to diversity
Online teaching experience
Experience in grant writing with success in obtaining external funding
Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship
Commitment and evidence of success in working with non-traditional learners
Expectations of the position include teaching, scholarship, and service, with opportunities for professional practice as desired, including
Integrating KCON philosophy and organizing framework into classroom and clinical teaching
Maintaining professional knowledge through critical reviews of evidenced based best practices, professional seminars, workshops, webinars, conferences, and journal articles
Application of learning from professional development to the academic and clinical practice settings Demonstrates adherence to the GVSU Collegiality Policy
Incorporating the principles of inter-professional education and collaborative practice as defined by the Inter-professional Education Collaborative (IPEC)
Embedding principles of engagement to enhance the teaching, scholarship, service, and practice expectations in the college
Salary:Salary and rank commensurate with experience
