Essential Functions: Successful candidate will lead the planning, execution, and data analysis of multiple federal- and institutional-funded grants as well as the coordination and achievement of specified endpoints for multiple collaborative studies from within and outside the university. Successful candidate is responsible for the timely publication of completed research studies and preparation of progress reports as well as the training and overseeing of all personnel and staff in the said projects/studies. Successful candidate is responsible for the acquisition of approved protocols (IBC, HIC, IACUC) as well as their implementation. Successful candidate is expected to be able to attain external research funding as part of a team and/or independently. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to mentor junior faculty and visiting scholars.
Qualifications: Recruitment of Professor as part of a major expansion of the Tumor Immunology unit in the C.S. Mott Center at Wayne State University. Candidates holding a PhD and/or MD degree with a demonstrated track-record of research accomplishments in the area of cancer biology with emphasis in targeting chemoresistance and the tumor microenvironment, tumor immunology, drug discovery, drug delivery systems, mouse cancer models, and in vitro pre-clinical testing are invited to apply.
