Essential Functions: The WDET Membership Associate is one of the first lines of contact for WDET members. They must perceive and conduct themselves as an ambassador of WDET and Wayne State University.20-25 hours per week including evenings and weekendsThe Part-time Membership Associate is responsible for:- Professional and timely response to member phone calls, emails, letters, and tracking interactions in membership database- Trouble-shooting and problem-solving member issues- Confidential membership database usage- Support for soliciting vendor quotes and completing university purchasing processes- Donor fulfillment shipment processing and inventory management- Recruitment and management of Volunteers when needed- Implementation of Member/Payment retention strategies & reporting- Complete mail merges, Direct Mail of Pledge Bills, member communications as needed- Support member e-news content and send in WDET's E-Mail client- Event and Fundraiser support, may require evening and weekend time commitments- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years proven success in direct customer service in an office environment required- Working knowledge of a member database such as Allegiance or Raisers Edge- Superior interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, with focus on customer satisfaction- Proficiency with general Data Entry and Microsoft Office and ability to use multiple applications simultaneously- Ability to manage assigned projects and deadlines with minimal supervision- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to compose e-newsletters, letters and member communications - Able to build and maintain appropriate relationships with people at all levels of an organization, across a diverse range of cultural, generational, ethnic, racial, educational and social backgrounds- Ability to move up to 30-pound boxes- Must be detail oriented, organized and manage time efficiently- Proven ability to generate consistent, error-free correspondence- Able to be flexible in schedule and task completion and remain pleasant and professional throughout
