Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Web Operations is responsible for providing leadership and oversight in the overall performance and functionality of the web and mySVSU intranet sites. The primary role of this position is to enhance the visibility and reputation of SVSU through the website in support of our enrollment goals and to streamline internal communications through the intranet. The Director of Web Operations will establish standards and practices that ensure functional excellence through dynamic, actionable content and design. The Director works collaboratively with multi-functional teams ensuring the university mission and standards are achieved. This position requires a dynamic, results-driven individual with proven experience in digital marketing and strategic leadership.
Leadership and Oversight Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to facilitate multi-divisional collaboration resulting in excellence of design, functionality and user experience.
Plans, schedules and executes content strategies across academic departments, administrative offices, third party vendors and other external constituencies.
Oversees access/assignment, content management, permissions, training, standards and practice development and governance.
Supervises Web Operations staff and student employees, prioritizing schedules, coordinating assignments, and assessing progress.
Manages web platform changes and deployments.
Establish long-range objectives and actions to achieve them with measurable targets.
Oversees quality assurance and website accessibility issues to be in compliance with ADA and WCAG standards.
Manages the CMS and intranet systems training programs.
Ensures that digital projects meet time and budgetary goals.
Monitors and evaluates site statistics providing recommendations for site improvement.
Further optimizes site search for major search engines. - Effectively implement and use SEO, SEM and web analytics data to enhance the production and deployment of online content consistent with the voice of SVSU.
Performs market research to inform and improve the work of the Web Operations team. - Conduct digital marketing needs assessments, evaluate site statistics and gauge content effectiveness.
Ensures adherence to university branding, style guides, accessibility, best practices and quality control procedures.
Perform all aspects of content development and design within dual environments (web and mySVSU).
Oversees the web operations budget and makes optimal use of resources

Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in combination with advanced knowledge and/or experience in management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum five-year's experience in integrated communication including web marketing and design, content management systems, digital communications, preferably in a higher education environment.
Ability to work successfully and lead change processes across multiple functions and departments.
Excellent skills in defining project strategies, setting timeline and adjusting plans as necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong management and organizational skills.
Strong customer service mindset.
Experience and ability to positively interact with diverse student populations and groups.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Previous experience with SharePoint applications and TerminalFour highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability directing and managing creative designers, writers, programmers, developers and other tech specialists.
Experience using analytics as a measurement of website effectiveness.
