Essential Functions: Essential Functions:Coordinate field data collection for a two-year project that implements and evaluates a school-based prevention program focusing on risk and protective factors to prevent perpetration of sexual and teen dating violence among youth.Coordinate scheduling of recruitment and data collection with school sites.Administer surveys to youth in middle school settings in Metro Detroit area middle and high schools.Conduct focus group research with youth.Facilitate retention of research participants and securing informed consent of youth and parents.Support observations and fidelity assessments of violence prevention curriculum.Assist in supervision of student research assistant staff.Ongoing communication with the principal investigators, school personnel, and others affiliated with the project.Maintain accounting of research related costs. Assist in the preparation of research reports.Support daily administrative operations of the research project.
Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must have graduate level courses in social science research (social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, education or political science).Excellent oral and written communications skills.Experience working on social science research projects. Experience with SPSS softwareComfortable with a variety of computer programs and applications.Reliable transportation to local research sites.
