A post-doctoral position in molecular virology and pharmacology is available at Drake University. The appointment will be made on an annual basis, beginning on or after September 1, 2019. The position may be extended for up to three years, depending on performance and continued external funding. The primary focus will be determining the molecular mechanisms of action of several classes of CMV terminase inhibitors. A strong background in molecular biology (including cloning, transfections, protein purification and fluorescent microscopy) and cell culture experience ideal. Experience in pharmacology and work with bacterial artificial chromosomes a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
