Job Description Summary: The Oboe Instructor will instruct a small studio of Applied oboe students through weekly individual one-hour lessons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach a total of 14 hours of individualized instruction per student each semester
Work with student to schedule agreed upon meeting times
Be accessible to students
Report progress of students to Director of Bands
Provide timely feedback to students' questions and concerns
Become familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the Department and College
Prepare students for end of semester juries and/or recitals

Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Oboe performance or related field
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in college level oboe instruction
Other Information: All applicants must demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.
