Essential Functions: Perform grossing of tissue samples that have previously been dissected and fixed. This requires knowledge of reproductive biology and placental morphology.Perform standard (H&E) and special staining and immunohistochemistry procedures. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, perform routine repairs or notify service personnel when more complex problems occur.Create and update SOPs as needed.Examine slides under microscope to ensure final product meets laboratory requirements.Coordinate and monitor lab safety compliance training.Manage staffing and performance management systems.Manage and monitor laboratory experiments, lab/workplace issues.Orders supplies, maintain inventory, manage equipment orders, maintenance contracts and upgrades. Work closely with other internal researches; participate in original and ongoing research, the publication process and scientific meetingsAdditional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required for Research Assistant.Ph.D. required for Research Associate.
