Provide technical support for Department of Games Design, Tisch School of the Arts. Operate and maintain hardware and software across the wide variety of platforms used in game development -- including everything from VR to alt controller materials to vintage hardware used in the Game Center Open Library. Instruct students and faculty on operating equipment; conduct individual and group training workshops, and demonstrate use of equipment. Advise students and faculty on equipment that would best meet their technical needs. Perform skilled maintenance and repairs on complex equipment and parts.
Required Education: High School diploma and some relevant technical training or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Relevant certification.
Required Experience: 2-3 years of related experience. Experience providing customer support in a studio/production-related environment.
Preferred Experience: Experience in a digital game related lab or production facility.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to operate a wide variety of production equipment (e.g., video and digital). Skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs. Ability to train others in equipment use.
