Job Description: Assistant Professor in Mathematics The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2020.
The standard teaching load is 18 credit hours per year. Assistant Professors receive release time for a total of 9 credit hours (normally 3 courses) to be used during the first 3 years of the 6-year probationary period, to help advance their research program.
Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the start date of the position. The successful candidate will be actively engaged in research and able to teach courses at all levels in our mathematics curriculum.
