Major Duties: - Teach introductory math courses, including math service courses- Design and implement professional development for teaching assistants and part-time faculty- Coordinate multi-section courses when assigned- Selecting and designing instructional materials- Develop assessment instruments for students, courses, and programs with emphasis on pre-calculus mathematics- Collecting and analyzing data to assess student learning- Collect and analyzing assessment data to improve math courses and their respective programs
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited institution- At least 3 years of recent teaching experience including calculus-level mathematics- Evidence of successful teaching in entry-level math courses, especially pre-calculus- Experience working with multiple instructors on a common class- Experience with learning-management systems, such as Desire2Learn or Google Classroom
