The Department OBGYN at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine are seeking a Research Assistant Professor Fixed Term.
The applicant will be responsible for examining target mechanisms and implementation outcomes and characterizes implementation processes and critical incidents among 455 counties in the Stepping Up initiative and 455 matched counties. Stepping Up is a national initiative designed and administered by the National Association of Counties (NACO), the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and the American Psychiatric Foundation (APF) to reduce the number of people with serious mental illness in jails.
This position will also be responsible for collaborating on research projects related to peer navigation for individuals with serious mental illness leaving jail.
This position will be expected to publish in peer reviewed journals as well as write competitive grant applications.
This position is located in the highly collaborative environment in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Biology, College of Human Medicine, at Michigan State University. The position is located in Flint, MI.
This position is a 12 month fixed term appointment. Renewal of position is based on funding and performance.
