Admissions Officer, Office of Admissions - Georgetown University Law Center
The Admissions Officer provides administrative support to all functions of the J.D. and Graduate Admissions programs. Support functions include coordinating communications to J.D. and Graduate applicants and admitted students (via print, email, and phone correspondence), processing applications to the Law Center, running reports, and statistical and data analysis. Reporting directly to the Manager of J.D. Admissions Operations, the Admissions Officer's duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide administrative and technological support to a portion of the JD and Graduate applicant pools
Participate in coverage of the Front Desk (reception)
Assist in annual "wrap-up" process
Assist Financial Manager with financial affairs processing and paperwork
Other tasks to be assigned at the discretion of the Manager of JD Admissions
Administrative & Technological Support:
Process applications for J.D. and LL.M. admission and follow up with applicants regarding application status
Process enrollment documents for J.D. and LL.M. admitted students
Generate reports and statistics for Dean or Directors as requested
Assist In the planning of Admissions Events throughout the cycle
Assist in admissions cycle closeout procedures
Assist with coverage of the Front Desk (reception) as needed
Other tasks to be assigned at the discretion of the Office Managers
Correspond regularly with applicants and admitted student.c; via email and phone. Monitor, track, and file communications appropriately.
Follow proper application procedures
Work with other departments to ensure accurate coordination of messaging
Preferably 2 years of relevant administrative and customer service experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, the ability to quickly adapt to new databases, and advanced administrative skills are required
The ability to Juggle various tasks and manage multiple, often conflicting deadlines simultaneously are necessary
Experience with Banner Student Information System and relevant CRM software(s) Is preferred.
