Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Tenure System
As part of MSU’s Global Impact Initiative (https://research.msu.edu/global-impact/workmsu/), the Department of Physiology at Michigan State University invites applications for an academic year tenure track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in the area of systems neuroscience. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a broad range of researchers working in the neurosciences at Michigan State University. We seek applicants whose research utilizes circuit-to-system level approaches to study the regulation of normal physiology, and that of diseased states. Priority will be given to candidates whose research applies state-of-the-art methods, including optical, chemogenetic, neurophysiological, and calcium and functional imaging techniques to assess and/or modulate the activity of specific neuronal ensembles. The ideal applicant will be an outstanding investigator with exceptional promise, a proven record of research achievement, the ability to attract funding in their research area, and who will contribute to the highly interactive and collaborative Department of Physiology (http://www.psl.msu.edu/) and neuroscience community at MSU.
The successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain a vigorous, extramurally funded, research program in his/her area of expertise, and contribute to teaching in the Department’s undergraduate, graduate and/or professional educational programs. Applicants should hold a PhD, DO, MD, or equivalent degree, with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Evidence of level-appropriate funding for applicants at the assistant professor level is required, and an active, extramurally funded, research program is required for applicants at the associate/full professor level. Laboratory space, start-up funds, and salary will be competitive and commensurate with academic rank and experience.
Doctorate -Neuroscience or Related Bio-Medical Fiel

Evidence of level-appropriate funding for applicants at the assistant professor level is required, and an active, extramurally funded, research program is required for applicants at the associate/full professor level.
