Gifted and Talented Education seeks applications for the Specialist-Outreach, position for the Pre-College program, ISHALL (Intensive Studies in Humanities, Arts, Language and Literature). This program is for academically gifted middle school students to earn high school credit in English. This position will be in Southeast Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the ISHALL program in Southeast Michigan August 2020- May 2021. The successful candidate may be required to observe an ISHALL class for training purposes.
Masters -English or Writing and Rhetoric
Doctorate -English or Writing and Rhetoric
Have 10+ years’ experience teaching middle/high school students and/or at university level.
Ability to teach in Southeast, Michigan during the school day once a week
Expertise with online discussion platforms (Zoom, Skype, etc.)
Expertise with online classroom management systems (D2L, Blackboard)
Have a Masters in English or Writing and Rhetoric
Have a Ph.D. in English or Writing and Rhetoric
