We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Associate for the Columbia University Medical Center Oncology Precision therapeutics and Imaging Core at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Staff Associate will work under the guidance of the OPTIC Manager. The successful applicant will play a key role in preclinical projects to assess drug efficacy using in vitro and in vivo tumor models. Prior experience in small animal surgery, tumor xenografts, and demonstrated skills in tissue culture, and small animal handling are highly desired. Experience with small animal imaging, in processing tumor tissues for isolation of cancer cells, basic molecular biology techniques, and cell transfections is a desirable. The successful applicant will have experience in preclinical oncology or related areas, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative setting with biologists and clinicians.
