This position will support the Dermatology Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology Unit, located in Ann Arbor with potential to rotate to Brighton.
Embed, section and stain frozen sections for Mohs histology laboratory for microscopic evaluation by physician.
Assist in setup, breakdown, and maintaining Mohs laboratory.
Maintain supply inventory for Mohs laboratory.
Review phone screen schedule to verify that slides have been requested for phone screening.
Submit slides from referring physicians for official UofM reading. Maintain database log for outside slides.

Ability to take direction from a multiple number of medical clinicians and supervisor as well as work independently and efficiently in a busy work environment.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Graduation from a histotechnologist (HTL) program or an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
Prior histotechnology experience is desirable.
Reasonable experience in chemistry or biology, knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in a laboratory.
Subject to change based on clinic need.
Monday-Friday, with the possibility of Saturday clinics in the future.
