The Department of Political Science seeks to hire an Advising Specialist to work with undergraduate students. Advising students on academic/curriculum matters; assisting students with registration; evaluating and maintaining student records.
Serve as Academic Advisor to Political Science majors, advising students on academic/curriculum matters;
Assisting students with registration;
Evaluating and maintaining student records;
Assist with various duties including Summer NSO;
Discussing career opportunities with potential MSU students and their families;
Assisting the department in curriculum matters and evaluating its undergraduate programs;
Promoting experiential learning opportunities;
Introducing students and prospective students to the Department of Political Science

Must have a Masters degree or equivalent post-baccalaureate experience working with college age students;
Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills;

Previous advising experience desirable.
