Essential Functions: The Perinatology Research Branch is in search of a Research Assistant or Research Associate. Standard job functions include designing and performing scientific techniques, research or experiment protocols in a lab or with human subjects, writing scientific papers, conducting presentations and lab management under the direction of PI. Essential functions will include: Evaluate appropriateness of proposed research projects with investigators.Decide on methods of production, creative and mechanical aspects of work, and materials needed for research projects.Analyzes objectives of project.Produce the visual form of research, special services, programs, and projects through print, slides, and display, which are distributed both internally and externally to the Branch.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required for Research Assistant and Research Associate. Ability to work independently, analyze, summarize and interpret research findings and data in reports and spreadsheets and communicate results. Knowledge of scientific integrity principles. Excellent time management, organization, interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with others in a collaborative environment. Microsoft office software skills.
