Michigan State University College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Special Advisor to the Dean. This is an annual year, fixed-term faculty position with rank based on education and experience. The Special Advisor to the Dean position will provide leadership for developing and executing strategies for College-wide projects and initiatives. The incumbent will advise the Dean on matters of College-wide importance, development alternative strategies that are in alignment with the College's strategic plan and budget, and coordinate project development and implementation with the College of Nursing leadership team.

Doctorate -Nursing or related field
Master of Science in Nursing or related field
If RN, unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible)
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
DNP, or PhD in Nursing or related field
Advanced knowledge of organizational processes, protocols and procedures
Excellent consulting, relationship building and strategic thinking skills
Ability to generate innovative ideas, work independently, establish goals and priorities in the development of programs, plan and complete projects on time under conditions of fluctuating workload
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and collaborative partnerships with internal and external constituents
Ability to deal with sensitive and highly confidential information and skill in handling sensitive situations with discretion
