The Laboratory of Dr. Fang is seeking a highly motivated research associate (postdoc) interested in the fabrication and characterization of materials for next-generation battery applications. We are particularly interested in developing fundamental understanding of lithium metal anode and solid-state electrolytes. In addition to the primary research responsibilities, the successful applicant will participate in other lab and Chemical Engineering and Materials Science departmental activities, including assisting with training of undergraduate and/or graduate students, report writing, and grant writing. This position is initially for one year, renewable annually based on performance and the availability of funding. The position includes salary and fringe benefits for 1 year.

Doctorate -Materials Science or related field
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in materials science, or related field by the start of the position.
The ideal candidate will have a strong chemistry background and rich experience with the synthesis and characterization of battery materials.
Expertise in the synthesis and characterization of battery materials is highly desired.
Industrial experiences in battery manufacturing is desired.
