These activities are part of an NSF-funded project to functionally characterize the circadian clock and to determine the genetic architecture of circadian period heterogeneity among potatoes. The position will involve the characterization of circadian controlled physiological responses in different potato species. Ample opportunities for interactions and collaborations with physiologists, molecular biologists, bioinformaticists, genomicists, geneticists, and breeders exist that will provide broad exposure to disciplines relevant in physiology, molecular biology, genetics and genomics. The Farré lab provides a robust training environment for postdoctoral associates seeking careers in academia and industry and applicants interested in a dynamic, positive research experience are especially encouraged to apply.
MSU provides competitive salary and excellent benefits for postdoctoral associates. Starting salary will be $48,671. The position is a one-year initial appointment with potential extension up to one year. Desired start date is July 2021.
