Social Worker MSW-Sr/MSW - Addiction Consult Team
Job Summary: This is a full time, M-F 8-4:30am position with the Addiction Consult Team (ACT). The social worker will be part of an interdisciplinary team which sees patients across the Michigan Medicine emergency departments and inpatient medical floors. The team provides assessment, development of treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based treatments (including medications for opioid use disorder), and ensure a robust warm handoff to ongoing outpatient care/follow-up, either at Michigan Medicine or within our community. The team has a long-term goal of empowering and upskilling our care teams across Michigan Medicine to care for patients with substance use disorders just as they would care for patients with any other chronic disease.Why Join the Department of Social Wor
